Conservation Education
One of the most important tool we can use to achieve healthy natural resources is through an outreach and education effort. That effort includes education on natural resource impacts and improvement opportunities as well as information about our improvement programs. The outreach effort includes newsletters, press releases, classroom demonstrations, workshops and tours.
Each year the Garfield County Conservation District offers two $250.00 scholarships to Garfield County High School Seniors who intend to pursue a higher education in an agriculture and/or natural resource related field. Scholarships may also be granted to Garfield County High School graduates who are currently pursuing a higher education and have not previously been a recipient of this scholarship. However, priority will be given to the graduating Seniors. Scholarship Application Form Download
